What I need to bring along with me for the 82 days of National Service

2009/05/27
I thought I had to take one third of the house with me (with the amount of tees and other clothes in the "take" pile), and I thought I was going to need a few bags for that - until I read the NS guide today. And it said, ONE BAG ONLY. How am I supposed to bring a huge amount of tees, tracksuits, socks, PJs, shoe polish, washing soap, stationery, toiletries, my NS journal, my phone (and perhaps, headset) - all in one bag ?

Well, to be precise, they said, "one clothes bag" and "one piece of hand luggage". But then, to be honest, I don't know how I'm gonna stuff all those things into two bags. My Contract Law paper starts tomorrow, but I'm more worried about NS than about this. In fact, just before dinner, I started filling up the forms I could fill up - where no one else's signatures were required (apart from mine).

On the 16th of June, we trainees will gather at the Bukit Jalil Stadium (Car Park C), and we are to leave at 8:00 (UTC +8) - that's midnight on the meridian. What a wonderful time to leave, I say !

If you read this post, please do spare a thought and a prayer for me - and for the rest of the trainees.
