For the concert this coming Sunday, I was requested to present two items. The first, of course, will be the highest-voted (or the second-highest, depending on the teacher's and students' consent).
The other item is a piano solo (well, not exactly a piano solo ; I might add in two more synth tracks at the back to make it more dramatic). And I told her I composed that piece. For those of you who have followed my blog for ages, try guessing which piece it is ?
Impromptu 8,27 (Huit Vingt-Sept).
The very same piece I conjured up in an instant when all those feelings for my late mom welled up in me. I did it somewhere around September or October last year - I can't remember the exact date (though my earlier posts might shed a little light on the date of composition ; try searching for "Impromptu 8.27" in the navbar). And as I mentioned in one of my earlier posts, the words Huit Vingt-Sept, or even the numbers 8,27 - these came from the date of my mother's passing.
I hope to get at least a .3gp video of it (i.e. a video recorded from the phone), no matter how blur it is or how much interference there is in the background. Also, soon enough, if the HTML doesn't bungle up again, I'll be placing those AMR drafts up - I did two AMR drafts for Huit Vingt-Sept and I'd like to share them with you. Soon, hopefully.
