I thought I had given my Business Studies textbook to Talitha... until today. I found out that she had returned that book to me, and I had asked Johanna to place the book on the floor. And all this while, until the next Business class in 3B, the book was on the floor.
From what I heard from a part-time student, the book is now on the teacher's table.
Dr Chantheney apparently perused through the book. And unlike the books of most students, this one seemed "overused". Some of the part-time students who went to Dr Chantheney's night class told me that they were listening to her, and she was talking about me, and she told them that my book was "colourful and all in French" !
Truth be told, while all the other students had bound paper handouts, I didn't. I was the only person who didn't receive the handouts. So I thought I'd make the most use of my textbook. Whatever notes Dr Chantheney wrote on the book, I wrote them all inside. Whatever was mentioned in the bound notes, I identified the sentences in the textbook and placed them in coloured brackets. I had no qualms about highlighting and drawing in my book. Wherever I could find a part to revise, or where there were important parts, I would place instructions (mainly in French). I only wrote in unconnected script for the first few chapters as those were done in the beginning of the year, and I had not developed my cursive writing back then. It was only after May 2008 that I started writing in cursive.
My Business Studies textbook was - and still is - my canvas. Towards the end of Chapter 1, people get to see a blue, green and yellow butterfly along with notes on marketing. Everywhere in the book, one may see Kingdom Hearts elements : the Kingdom Hearts heart and crown, cards from Re : Chain of Memories, the Mickey emblem, the Keyblade emblem, and the colours for magic abilities. Sometimes, I would do drawings with highlighters, and other times, I would do drawings with metallic/normal gel pens. I remember somewhere towards the end of Unit 4, I drew a rainbow with my friends' names inscribed in it, and well... I have drawings of fruits, hearts, and I even wrote Adoravelle's name in colour.
It's with colours that I am able to study well. It's from my Business Studies textbook that people get to know my artistic personality. These colours stimulate me to a point that everytime I open the Business Studies book, I open it with anticipation.
I've been drawing on my Literature written notes and my Law notes too, and I've been using colours for my Microsoft OneNote notebooks. So that's practically how I study.
Today, a part-timer went with me to the YMCA (where my car was parked) and asked me how my studies were done. I shared what I knew with her.
Well, this journey is far from over - as I said earlier, it'll only end when my life ends. And as long as I live, I will share my expertise with the people around me.
