Ouch. I know you were looking forward to that. I was going to use the word "piqued", but then I learned that it actually means more "irritated" than "excited"--which actually might be more accurate for the afterward than the beforehand.

I had dreamt of singing on the stage of the Forum Hertfordshire when I first saw it in September, and I even had performance ideas, which I shared with the student guides and some of my (then) new friends. Now... it isn't gonna happen, is it ?
