Lord, I will grow. I know you want me to grow.

I happen to be in an area where I can stumble on YouTube video auditions for Britain’s Got Talent, and real-time auditions for X-Factor — the auditions for X-Factor last year for Hertfordshire took place in The Forum.

And this is just one of these auditions. Things like these make me glow with hope.

This vid got my blood pumping because… if there was an audience for Susan Boyle, there might just be an audience for me. I wanted to make my dad and my friends (especially my close friends) proud of me with my performance… not forgetting that I must do well in my LLB too.

Some 20+ people encouraged me to join, including Tony and Sarah. I needed to pray about it… and I did right before mass. And then quite a number of people supported me.

But now there is one thing which may inhibit me from even entering. No, it’s not my LLB. It’s this rule:

"6. You must be resident in the UK or Republic of Ireland with a valid passport. You will provide the Company with documentation in order to substantiate your age (i.e. birth certificate and/or valid passport)."

I can’t join, can I… -__-

Maybe I’ll have to wait again. But waiting isn’t good enough. I have been told on several occasions that an opportunity like this would never come in Malaysia. If I don’t go this year, I won’t be able to go next year. Third year is going to constrain me. Triste

And I had reopened Fruity Loops just because of a submission idea for Britain’s Got Talent.

I suppose two years might be good for me to grow, but I’m fed up of being turned down whenever I want to seize opportunities; I’m fed up of doors being slammed at me.

Maybe we're already proud of you, Annette. :) And, yes, our Lord does want us to grow. John 15. It's not about performances, it's about performance--how we do everything. We only bear fruit if we abide in the Vine. Whether it's on stage or cleaning toilets, our heart is how we are judged. "If you do well, will you not be accepted? (Genesis 4:7)"

The Lord bless you, my sister.

What about that dream I've always had... I've had a few people tell me that it's wrong to have dreams like these, and a few others supporting me. I know that the final say is the Lord's, but then...? :'( x

What about it? If the Lord gave the dream to you, it will come to pass. The Lord told Abraham that he would have a son. And he had a son. But don't copulate with your Hagar. ;) God cannot lie; Abe had Issac. But he (and his descendants to this day) had to also put up with his Ishmael. "Though it tarry, wait for it (Habakkuk 2:3)." If the Lord planted that dream, you will not be able to escape it. Moses had long given up on his people in Egypt when a bush decided to catch on fire (and not get burned) in front of him one day.
